- In-house training
- 2 - 2 hour drills a month
- 50% attendance requirement
- All training is provided by the Fire District

- Middleton firefighters are paid-on-call (paid for drills and calls)
- Cadets start out at $9 / hour
- Current scale tops out at $12 / hour
- Increasing levels of pay are earned with certifications and training
- Paging for calls
- All Middleton firefighters carry pagers to alert them to a call
- No duty shifts are used

- Firefighting is a very physical job by nature
- Health and fitness is encouraged of all members
- We have exercise equipment open to use by all firefighters and their
