Station 1 was originally built in 1959. Additions were made in 1973 and 1993 to address the growth of the department. Construction is underway to build a completely new structure in 2007. As a rough overview, the new Station 1 will have an apparatus bay the size of the entire structure pictured above. Watch a 20 second video of old Station 1 being torn down. |
